We look at the light together and talk through the plan out loud.

Simple prompts, not stiff poses. You just respond, we handle the rest.

We wrap on a real moment, high fives, and goodbyes.

You don't need to practice posing

If you feel camera-shy or awkward, you are completely normal. You never have to worry about "what to do with your hands" or how to stand. We direct every movement, every shift, and every angle so you can just be present.

Day-of prep & what to bring

A few practical details to keep everything smooth and stress-free.

Empty your pockets

Phones, keys, and wallets leave noticeable outlines in pants. Leave them safely in the car or toss them into our gear bag when we start.

Pack a hairbrush or comb

Outdoor breeze happens! A quick touch-up brush right before we start tames flyaways so your hair looks clean and intentional in every shot.

Walking shoes

If we’re on location, wear comfortable slip-ons or sneakers for walking between spots, then swap into your shooting shoes when we set up.

Low-mess essentials

Water, clear lip balm, and non-staining snacks for kids (think marshmallows or fruit gummies rather than chocolate or juice boxes).

Start with a color, then run it through a few simple styling tips. No forced coordination required.

Wardrobe Notes

Keep these simple guidelines in mind against whatever you're already planning to wear.

Let one color happen naturally.
If a couple of people already gravitate toward the same color, let it stand. Don't buy an accessory just to force a match; forced coordination reads as forced.
Let neutrals carry the rest.
Cream, denim, stone, charcoal, tan. Neutrals don't clash with anything.
Texture over pattern.
A chunky knit or linen reads as intentional the way a bold print tries to, without the clash risk.
Wear it before you wear it.
Nothing brand new. If you wouldn't run an errand in it without thinking, it's the wrong pick.
Dress for where you'll be.
Most sessions happen outdoors on uneven ground. Save dress shoes and formal wear for a studio session.

Stand in front of a mirror before you leave. If you feel like you're in costume, change it. If you forget you're dressed up, that's the outfit.

If a shared color emerges naturally across a couple of people, let it. Everyone else defaults to neutrals or their own texture pick. Bring a backup outfit for young kids in case of a spill or a meltdown before we start.
